There are always great performances on the hardwood around the state.  Each week we’ll highlight some of them!

There are always great performances on the hardwood around the state.  Each week we’ll highlight some of them!     Keep in mind these are the highlights from teams that send their stats into the stat collection center.   We rely on coaches to send in game information each week.

Points:  

BOYS:    Gabriel Sillari of Snake River scored 34 points in the regional semi finals vs Dubois.  LSR won the game by 2.   Kalei Smith of Powell dumped in 33 vs Worland while Dylan Collins of Arvada/Clearmont scored 32 vs Hulett.   Quade Palm of HEM scored 31 and Gillette’s Cody Kelley scored 30 against Sheridan.

GIRLS:    Marissa Arnold of Rocky Mountain helped her team get past the play in game with 25 points vs Riverside.  Jaycee Garman of Hulett also scored 25.  Julia Seamans of Gillette scored 22 vs Sheridan while Alisha Roberts of Hulett did the same with 22 points.   Rachelle Lynch of St Stephens scored 21 vs HEM.  Encampment’s Alyssa Barkhurst also scored 21 against Farson.

Three’s:

BOYS:  Wheatland’s Kendrick Jackson and Riverton’s Eion Meyers each hit 6 of 9 three’s.  Meyers hit his on Monday in a make up game vs Evanston.    Cody’s Brandon Hinze was 4 of 10 in a game while South’s Kyhler Cummings was 4 of 5.

GIRLS:   Jaycee Garman of Hulett and Alisha Roberts are atop the three point stats this week.  Garman was 4 of 6 in a game vs A/C while Roberts was 3 of 4 in the same game.  Baylee Ferguson of Midwest was 3 of 5 while Loveeda White of WIHS hit 3 of 6.

Free Throws:  

BOYS:  Cody Kelley, Gillette,  and Jordan Banks, Big Piney,  were a perfect 11 of 11 in games on the weekend.   Dylan Collins of Arvada/Clearmont hit 13 of 19 from the stripe.   Kalei Smith of Powell was 11 of 14. Greybull’s Kason Clutter hit 9 of 12.

GIRLS:    Alyssa Barkhurst of Encampment was 7 for 8.   Alisha Roberts of Hulett hit 5 of 7 as did Bailey Prewitt of Guernsey-Sunrise.  Cheyenne Tomkins of HEM was 8 of 14.

Rebounds:

BOYS:  Three boys had 18 rebound performances this past weekend.   Burlington’s Preston Wardell, Alex Collier of Rawlins and Tony Kruszynski of Rock River.  Corey McCallister of RR also had a good game with 17.   Nicholas Cunningham had 16 boards vs. Upton and Dubois’ Walker Carrico, who was mentioned in Sports Illustrated last week, also had 16 boards.

GIRLS:     Three girls led the rebounding category with 17:   Natrona’s Kaylee Johnson, Shelby Bowen of HEM and Joey Harris of Laramie.  Kara Clarke of Cheyenne South had 15 with 14 each from Loveeda White of WIHS and Sierra Stricklin of Rock River.

Steals:  

BOYS:  Luke Pantle of Encampment had 7 steals.   Seth Bennett, Meeteetse, Casey Winger, Lander, and Reese Hiibel of Star Valley all had 6 steals.

GIRLS:   Gabby Johnson Natrona and Alyssa Barkhust of Encampment each had 5 steals.  Kara Clarke of South and Cheyenne Tomkins of HEM each had 4.

 

Assists:   

BOYS:  Nick Carrizales of Burlington dished out 14 assists in the West Regional title game vs Snake River.    Lander’s Casey Winger, Kason Clutter of Greybull,  CJ Smith of Rock River, and Joseph Howell of WIHS each had 6 assists.

GIRLS:   Maggie Johnson of HEM had 5 as did Jolie Wetstein.  Several other girls had 4 assists this week.

Great Lines:

Boys:   

Luke Pantle, Encampment-   15 points  10 rebounds  and 7 steals

Casey Winger, Lander-  20 points, 10 rebounds 6 assists, 6 steals

Preston Wardell, Burlington-  25 points 18 rebounds  5 steals and 2 blocks

Alex Collier, Rawlins-  19 points  18 rebounds

Tony Kruszynski, Rock River- 13 points   18 rebounds

Corey McCallister, Rock River-  20 points 17 rebounds

Kalei Smith, Powell-  33 points  10 rebounds 4 assists

Cody Kelley, Gillette-  30 points 10 rebounds 5 assists 3 steals

Kendrick Jackson, Wheatland-  30 points  10 boards,  4 steals 1 block

Girls:  

Kaylee Johnson, Natrona-  16 points  17 rebounds  4 assists  6 blocks

Shelby Bowen, HEM-  14 points  17 rebounds  2 assists 2 steals  1 block

Kara Clarke, South-  12 points  15 rebounds  4 steals

Sierra Stricklin, Rock River-  20 points  14 rebounds 3 steals

Gabby Johnson, Natrona- 19 points 13 rebounds 5 steals

Haylee Hoffman, Thermopolis-  18 points 10 rebounds
