There are always great performances on the hardwood around the state.  Each week we’ll highlight some of them!

There are always great performances on the hardwood around the state.  Each week we’ll highlight some of them!     Keep in mind these are the highlights from teams that send their stats into the stat collection center.   We rely on coaches to send in game information each week.

Dani Noble from Cheyenne South scored her 1,000 career point last weekend against Sheridan. She is now at 1003 for her career.

Points:    

BOYS:  Jared Mosqueda of Wyoming Indian scored 28 as did Kolter Leseberg of Dubois and Logan Loberg of Upton.  Richard Blackwell of South scored 27 in a loss to Gillette.

GIRLS:    Rachelle Lynch of St. Stephens scored 31 in a win over Burlington that helped the Lady Eagles claim their first ever conference title.   Loveeda White of Wyoming Indian scored 29 while Trinity Goggles of St Stephens scored 25 vs Meeteetse.

Three’s:

BOYS:    Kolter Leseberg of Dubois was 7 for 11 from 3 vs the Wind River JV.  Brady Esquibel of Guernsey-Sunrise was 6 of 9 vs Rock River.

GIRLS:   Rachelle Lynch of St Stephens hit 5 three’s vs Burlington, Courtney James of Encampment was 5 of 7 in a loss to Snake River.

Free Throws:  

BOYS:    Zach Heny of Powell was 16 for 20 in a win over Jackson.   Hoyt Nicholas of Worland was 12 of 13 in a game.  Kalei Smith of Powell was 11 for 13 vs Jackson along with Heny.

GIRLS:   Shoshoni’s Olivia Thompson hit 10 of 17 free throws.   Halyee Hoffman of Thermopolis was 8 for 11 in a game while Madison Vinich of KW and Cosette Stellern of East each were 8 of 12.

Rebounds:

BOYS:    Jaxon Hedges of Lander snared 18 boards vs Pinedale.   Logan Loberg of Upton had 17 with 16 from Kolton Wall of Rawlins.

GIRLS:    Hannah Bauernfiend of Hulett had 22 rebounds, 9 on the offensive end.  Ashlie Blackburn of Douglas had 20, 11 offensive.

Steals:  

BOYS:    Dawson Butts of Upton had 10 steals to lead the boys.  Trey Schroefel of Buffalo had 7.

GIRLS:   Maggie Johnson of HEM had 11 steals to lead the state this week.  Karlina McIntosh of Greybull had 10.  Both scored 9 points and just missed the double-double.   Johnson did have 9 steals in another game where she scored 17 points and 10 rebounds for a near triple-double.   

Assists:   

BOYS:    Lander’s Jayson Simpson is back on the list with 13 dimes this week.   Alex Housekeeper of Mountain View had 10 assists vs Lovell.

GIRLS:    Loveeda White of WIHS had 6 assists as did Alyssa Barkhurst of Encampment, and Robbi Ryan of Sheridan.

Worth Noting:

Hannah Bauernfiend, Hulett, 10 points, 22 rebounds 5 blocks.

Jaxon Hedges, Lander, 18 points, 18 rebounds.

Kolton Wall, Rawlins, 20 points, 16 rebounds and 6 blocks.

Jayson Simpson, Lander, 10 points, 13 assists, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Dawson Butts, Upton, 10 points 10 steals, 10 rebounds and 7 steals.

Alex Housekeeper, Mountain View, 14 points 10 assists, 3 rebounds 1 steal.
