There are always great performances on the hardwood around the state.  Each week we’ll highlight some of them!

There are always great performances on the hardwood around the state.  Each week we’ll highlight some of them!     Keep in mind these are the highlights from teams that send their stats into the stat collection center.   We rely on coaches to send in game information each week.

Worth Noting early:

Upton Senior Sophie Claycomb just ended her career at Upton with 1482 points scored including 462 in  her senior season.  She was a 3 time All Stater and 4 times all conference.

Mckenzie Ward of Burns finished with 1399 career points, with over 535 in senior season year.  She also was 3 times All State,  4 times 2A Southeast All-Conference.   She had 61 3’s this season and 187 for her career.


BOYS:  Buffalo’s Taylor Hepp went off for 36 in a 4 point win at regionals over Wheatland.  On the other side of the courth, Kendrick Jackson of Wheatland scored 30.  Jackson also scored 30 in an upset of Glenrock at the 3A East Regional.

GIRLS:  St. Stephens sophomore Trinity Goggles dumped in 31 at the State Tournament in Casper.   Alyssa Barkhurst went off for 29.  Kelly Walsh’s Madison Vinich scored 28 in the Trojans’ title win over Natrona.


BOYS:    Kendrick Jackson hit five against Buffalo going 5 for 13 from the arc.  Jackson Bower of Cody was 5 for 7 while Dylan Daniels hit 5 for 9.  Jace Allard of Rawlins hit four in two different games.  He was 4 for 7 in one, 4 for 12 in another.

GIRLS:   Bailey Gibbons of Worland was 3 for 4, Alyssa Dawson of Newcastle 3 for 5, and Emily Evans of Central was 3 for 4.

Free Throws:  

BOYS:    Wind River’s Caleb C’Bearing hit 11 of 13 in a semi final win at the Event Center.    Kendrick Jackson was 11 of 14 in a game at regionals.   East’s Elijah Oliver was 9 for 10.

GIRLS:   Madison Vinich of Kelly Walsh was 14 for 16 at the 4A West regional title game. Cheyenne East’s Sierra Stellern made 11 of 12 in the 4A East Championship.    Kaylee Seeds of Lingle Fort Laramie was 12 of 18 at state vs HEM.   Trinity Goggles of St Stephens was 11 for 17.   Riverton’s Camey Fegler was a perfect 10 for 10 vs Evanston.


BOYS:    Lingle’s Barry Greenwald had 21 boards in a game at 1A State.   Jess McNiven of Burlington had 20.  Kris Clark of Sheridan grabbed 17 rebounds, 10 on offense and Wind River’s Bryce Hankins, a junior, had 17 in the 2A State Semi Finals.  He had 13 in the state championship game.

GIRLS:    Camille Whiteman of St Stephens had 21 rebounds vs Kaycee in the 1A State tournament.   Lil Hedges of Snake River grabbed 16 boards in one game at state and another 13 in a different game.  Laree Foley of Kaycee had 14 in a game.


BOYS:    Jess McNiven, Burlington and East’s Elijah Oliver each had 5.

GIRLS:   Shoshoni’s Olivia Thompson had 8 steals at state while Trinity Goggles of St Stephens had 7.


BOYS:    Riverton Senior Chris Quayle dished out 10 assists in the play in game at regionals.

GIRLS:    Cassity Little of Encampment had 9 steals at state.

More Worth Noting:

Shoshoni’s Olivia Thompson 17 points, 10 rebounds 8 steals.

Taylor Hepp, Buffalo, 36 points and 10 rebounds

Barry Greenwald, Lingle, 15 points 21 rebounds 5 assists

Camille Whiteman, St Stephens, 10 points 21 rebounds.

Cassidy Little, Encampment, 13 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists.

Bryce Hankins, Wind River,  16 points 17 rebounds in the semi finals and  9 points 13 rebounds in the first round.
