Brooke Hansen From Burns Commits to Gillette College Volleyball

Burns High School has been a powerful force in 2A volleyball throughout the last two seasons with a state championship in 2022 and a 2nd place finish at state in 2023. Brooke Hansen has played a huge role in that success and she has signed on with Gillette College to continue her volleyball career.

Hansen recorded nearly 700 kills in her prep career and led 2A this past season in that catagory. She has been a hitting machine but also rang up 145 assists in her senior season.

Hansen also plays on the Bronc basketball team as they won the 2A state championship in 2023. She averaged 5 points and 3 rebounds in 29 games last season. She also qualified for the 2A State Track Meet in 4 events, taking 3rd in the discus with a toss of 103-8, 9th in the shot at 31-1.5, 8th the pole vault clearing 7-6 and 12th in the long jump with a leap of 13-8.25

Gillette College resurrected their athletic program this past season in Region IX and finished the volleyball season at 8-21.
