No Wyoming High School Nordic Ski Races This Weekend

Mother Nature has not done any favors for outdoor winter sports in Wyoming thus far. The high school Nordic skiing season will not have a competition during Week 2 of the 2024 season.

Due to a lack of snow on Casper Mountain, this weekend’s race is postponed. It is now scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Jan. 5-6, 2024.

The season began last weekend at Lander. That was a venue change from Laramie, which also has a lack of snow.

The seven schools in Nordic skiing at the prep level will get some extra training before returning to action after the New Year.
