Big Horn has won three state championships in football over the last 6 years and started this season with a narrow 33-27 loss to Lovell. Since then, the Rams have reeled off three wins in a row and escaped with a 32-27 victory over Torrington on Friday night.

The teams traded touchdowns in the 1st quarter as Cruz Hernandez got into the end from 3 yards out for Big Hirn and Bryce Hager scored in a 10-yard run for Torrington. Big Horn had a productive 2nd quarter as quarterback Avon Barney connected on a 91-yard touchdown play to Gavin Stafford and a 16-yard scoring pass to Daniel Walker. The Rams led at the halftime break 20-7.

Each team found the end zone in the 3rd quarter as Stafford returned a punt 65 yards to give the Rams a 26-7 lead but Torrington responded with a 12-yard run to the end zone from Kaiden Riggs to cut the gap to 26-13.

It was an eventful 4th quarter, that's for sure with Cruz Hernandez scoring again for Big Horn on a 7-yard run so the Rams led at this point 32-13. The Blazers mounted a furious rally as Hager had a pair of rushing touchdowns from 11 yards out and 1 yard out to make it 32-27. But that was as close as Torrington would get.

Big Horn is now 3-1 and will take their show on the road to Wheatland this week. Torrington sits at 2-3 and will host unbeaten Tongue River on Friday. We do have a few photos to share from last Friday's game from Erin Hager and they are located in our gallery below. Take a look!
