The 2024 high school softball season in Wyoming is in Week 7. Games are spread across five days this week. It’s a mix of rescheduled games and those that were planned. Laramie will be one of the busiest teams with a game on four different days this week. A top-two showdown on Thursday in Gillette highlights the schedule. Casper will host action on Friday and Saturday. No. 5 Wheatland is off this week.

MONDAY, APRIL 22

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 13 Laramie 3 (conference game) - Thomas hit 3 HRs & had 6 RBIs for the Indians.

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 14 Laramie 9 - The Indians scored 4 in the first and added 5 more in the 4th to pull away. Araas had 2 hits & 4 HRs. Aragon added 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Kuhn had 3 hits & 2 RBIs, while Sirdoreus added 2 hits & 4 RBIs for Laramie.

TUESDAY, APRIL 23

Final Score: Green River 10 Worland 0 (conference game) - Terry tosses a 3-hit shutout for GR and adds 3 hits & 2 RBIs and the plate. Avery hit a 3-run HR and Allred added 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Green River 11 Worland 6 - Wolves scored 9 runs in the 1st inn. in route to the sweep. Allred and Avery had 2 hits & 2 RBIs each.

Final Score: Laramie 9 #3 Cheyenne East 7 (conference game) - A 7-run 2nd inn. put the Plainsmen in front for good. Gomez had a 3-run HR and Sirdoreus added 2 doubles & 2 RBIs. Brooks had 2 HRs & 4 RBIs for East in the loss.

Final Score: #3 Cheyenne East 8 Laramie 7 - East took the lead with a 5-run 2nd and held on. The T-Birds hit 3 HRs. Millar had 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Oswald had 3 hits & 1 RBI. Lujan and Cass had 2 hits & 2 RBIs each for Laramie.

THURSDAY, APRIL 25

Final Score: #4 Cody 12 Natrona County 2 (conference game) - Fillies scored 5 runs in the 2nd and 4th innings. Nielsen had a triple & 4 RBIs for Cody. Wollschlager added a home run & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: #4 Cody 5 Natrona County 3 - Cody rallied with 4 runs in the last 2 innings for the road sweep. Wollschlager had 2 hits & 2 RBIs. NC was led by Gonez with 3 hits (HR) & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Rock Springs 12 Green River 1 (conference game) - the Tigers broke open a close game with a 5-run 4th inning. RS had 3 HRs. Sweeney had 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Rock Springs 13 Green River 12 - the Tigers held off GR in the road sweep. Wester had 3 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs for RS. Allred had 4 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs for GR.

Final Score: #2 Campbell County 11 #1 Thunder Basin 7 (conference game) - Trailing 5-4, a 6-run 6th inning pushed the Camels to the win. A. Gray had 3 hits & 2 RBIs and got the win in the circle. Selfors hit 2 HRs for TB in the loss.

Final Score: #1 Thunder Basin 14 #2 Campbell County 5 - an 8-run 3rd sealed the Bolts victory. Selfors had 2 hits (2B) & 3 RBIs. Means added 3 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Laramie 10 Cheyenne South 0 (conference game) - Cass tossed a 1-hit shutout in the circle. Gomez had 2 hits & 2 RBIs to pace the offense.

FRIDAY, APRIL 26

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 12 #3 Cheyenne East 11 (8 inns.) (conference game) - the Indians rallied from 5-1 and 9-3 deficits to win. Driver had the game-winning RBI double in the 8th inning. Central scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th for the win. Kelly had 3 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: #3 Cheyenne East 15 Cheyenne Central 5 - T-Birds earned a split. They led 3-2 and scored the next 12 runs. Brooks had 3 hits, including 1 HR, & 4 RBIs.
