PhotoFest: Big Piney Shuts Out Riverside in 9-Man Football

Big Piney has been a major force in 1A 9-Man football this season with a 7-1 record heading into the playoffs. The Punchers disposed of Riverside over the weekend 35-0 and their only this year was to Wind River. Big Piney has a big 1-2 punch running the football with Caden Clifford and Reuben Stoutenberg who's been averaging 115 and 114 yards rushing per game respectively. The Puncher defense has been aggressive as well with 3 shut-outs, a 7-point game, and a 6-point game. Big Piney is the #2 seed from the West and will host defending 9-Man champion Pine Bluffs in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.

Riverside will be a postseason participant as well as the Rebels recovered from a 1-2 start. Riverside has a one-man wrecking crew in Ty Strohschein who has 1290 yards rushing so far this season and 12 touchdowns. He's a monster on defense as well with 78 tackles. The Rebels missed the playoffs last season so their going to be hungry for some playoff success. They will be the #3 seed from the West and have a road game at Southeast in the opening round of the 9-Man tournament.
