Lusk kept their playoff hopes alive in 1A 9-man football with a hard-fought 27-18 victory over Moorcroft on Friday. The Tigers are now 3-3 overall and 3-2 in the 9-Man East and have managed to win a 9-point game and a 2-point game this season. Entering the game, Lusk was ranked #1 on passing in 9-Man football with Jackson Smith averaging 212 yards through the air per game. Nathan Miller has benefited from that kind of play from his receiver spot and he has been averaging 168 all-purpose yards per game.

Moorcroft is 1-5 on the year which matches their win total from a year ago. However, the Wolves have been competitive as they lost 2 games by 9 points and 1 by just 2 points. Moorcroft is 1-4 in conference play with a home game this week against winless Wright.

Lusk will be on the road at Guernsey-Sunrise this week and have won 3 of their last 4 games. Be sure and check out some photos of the Lusk-Moorcroft game in our gallery below, courtesy of Lisa Shaw. Enjoy!
