Star Valley 3A Football Championship Remarks

Star Valley and Cody have quite the rivalry lately. Cody beat Star Valley in the 2021 3A semi-finals then Star Valley won the 2022 3A state championship over Cody, In 2023, Star Valley downed Cody in the regular season and finally, Star Valley defeated Cody in the 3A championship 27-0.

On Friday afternoon, the Braves used a methodical approach when they had the ball and earned 250 yards and 3 touchdowns with their running game. Quarterback Smith McClure had 12 carries for 87 yards and all 3 of those TDs. He also was 7-11 throwing the ball for 88 yards and a touchdown.

Jesse Leavitt is a bruising running back who's also pretty quick. He had 95 yards rushing on 19 carries and needless to say he was a tough customer. The Brave defense was tough too with some big stops on 3rd and 4th down in this contest.
