State Wrestling: 106 LB. Championship Matches

The State Wrestling finals started out with the 106 division on Saturday at the Ford Center in Casper. In 4A, Laramie's Caden Polson took on Natrona's Tristen Tromble. It was a back and forth match with the freshman Polson prevailing 7-4. He finished the year at 21-12 and Tromble's record this year was 26-16. Natrona's Kaden Orr was 3rd at 106 and Cheyenne Central's Isael was 4th.

Over in 3A Coaltyn Laird of Lander and Spencer Wright from Green River fought an tightly contested match with one takedown the difference. Laird wins the state title 2-0 so finish at 22-11 on the year. Wright wraps things up with a mark of 34-8. The 3rd place finisher in 3A at 106 was Kazzen Siler of Lyman with Ryan Nutt of Pinedale 4th.

In 2A, Moorcroft got off to a great start in the finals thanks to a pin from Dylan Humes over Dominic Sanchez of Big Piney. Both of these guys were freshmen and Humes went 37-4 this season while Sanchez was 34-9. Austin Christen of Kemmerer was 3rd and Sammie Cyrus of Dubois 4th.
