Tyrone Fittje made a name for himself in college football as an All-WAC lineman for the Wyoming Cowboys from 1987-90. He started as a volunteer assistant coach at Natrona in 1992 and he will begin his 32nd year coaching the lineman for the Mustangs. That makes him the longest, continuous assistant coach in the history of the school.

During his tenure, Natrona was known for their physicality, and that came directly from Fittje. NC has won 7 state championships in football in his tenure and finished 2nd 5 times. He's also been a long-time wrestling coach at Natrona; 4 years as a head coach and 11 as an assistant. His induction into the Wyoming Coaches Association Hall of Fame is a deserving honor for a man who epitomizes hard work.
