The Wyoming High School softball season has reached the eighth week of the 2023 season.

The final month of the season is upon us. The countdown to the state championship weekend in Gillette is on. There are two weeks left in the regular season.

There are games on all but one day this week.

MONDAY, MAY 1

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 7 #5 Laramie 1 (conference game) - Hinz had 17 Ks and hit a 3-run HR for the Indians

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 12 #5 Laramie 8 - Central trailed 6-3 and scored 9 in the 2nd and held on for the win.

TUESDAY, MAY 2

Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 13 #5 Laramie 5 (conference game) - Christensen had 3 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs + got the win in the circle with 12 Ks.

Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 7 #5 Laramie 2 - East took a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning and pulled away. Oswald had 3 hits, including 1 HR and 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 26 Wheatland 4 (conference game) - Central jumped out 9-0 and capped it with 11 runs in the 4th. The Indians had 9 extra-base hits including HRs by Moyte and Thomas. Thomas had 5 hits & 6 RBIs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 13 Wheatland 12 - Ross had the game-winning RBI single in the 5th inning.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 13 Natrona County 0 (conference game) - Griffith tossed a 6-hit shutout with 15 Ks. The Trojans pulled away with 9 runs in their last 2 at-bats.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 14 Natrona County 10 - a 5-run 5th allowed the Trojans to get the sweep. Attaway had 4 hits & 4 RBIs for KW.

THURSDAY, MAY 4

Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 11 Laramie 5 (conference game) - 5 runs in the 6th helped the Bolts pull away.

Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 20 Laramie 0 - 2 TB pitchers combined on a 6-hit shutout.

FRIDAY, MAY 5

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 17 Wheatland 5 (conference game) - the Indians used a 7-run 3rd inning to pull away. Hinz had 3 hits & 4 RBIs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 16 Wheatland 5 - Central scored 13 runs in the 6th to pull away. Kelly had 2 hits & 4 RBIs. Moyte added 3 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: #4 Cody 14 Rock Springs 11 (conference game) - the Fillies used an 8-run 1st inning to jump and held off the Tigers. V. Wollschlager had 4 hits & 2 RBIs. A. Wollschlager added 3 hits and drove in 3.

Final Score: #4 Cody 14 Rock Springs 8 - Cody led 6-3 early and pulled away for the sweep. Simone had 3 hits & 4 RBIs. The Fillies hit 3 HRs.

Final Score: Green River 14 Worland 4 (conference game) - a 9-run 4th helped the Wolves rally from a 3-1 deficit. Allred had 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Carson added 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Green River 10 Worland 9 - GR completed the sweep. Barajas' 2-run double in the 4th was the difference. O'Brian had 2 hits & 4 RBIs for Worland.

Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 21 Cheyenne South 0 (conference game) - The Bolts scored 12 in the 1st. Partlow had 4 hits & 5 RBIs and got the win in the circle.

Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 24 Cheyenne South 3 - TB scored 13 in the 1st and 11 in the 2nd. 14 of the 15 batters had a hit for the Bolts.

Final Score: #3 Campbell County 15 Laramie 0 (conference game) - Kimbley and A. Gray both had 4 hits & 5 RBIs.

Final Score: #3 Campbell County 6 Laramie 0 - a 5-run 4th helped the Camels to the sweep. Alexander had 2 doubles and drove in a run.

SATURDAY, MAY 6

Final Score: #3 Campbell County 10 Cheyenne South (conference game) - Kimbley had 2 doubles & 3 RBIs. Smith added 2 hits & 2 RBIs for the Camels.

Final Score: #3 Campbell County 30 Cheyenne South 1 - the Camels scored 9, 8, 9, and 4 runs. A. Gray finished with 4 hits & 5 RBIs. Rambo & Thayer added 3 hits & 5 RBIs each.

Final Score: #4 Cody 16 Green River 1 (conference game) - Fillies scored 6 in the 2nd inning & closed it out with 7 runs in the 6th. Brasher had 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Evans homered & drove in 3 runs.

Final Score: #4 Cody 18 Green River 6

Final Score: Rock Springs 11 Worland 5 (conference game) - a 6-run 4th inning helped the Tigers pull away. Soltis had 2 hits & 3 RBIs. Wester added 2 hits & 2 RBIs.
