The seventh week of the 2023 prep softball season in Wyoming means there are less than four weeks left before the state championship weekend.

Thanks to rescheduled games, several teams are trying to squeeze in multiple dates this week. The postponed Cheyenne Softball Invite from mid-March was rescheduled for April 28 and 29, but it has been canceled due to all the rescheduling going on.

MONDAY, APRIL 24

Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 17 Cheyenne South 3 (conference game) - T-Birds led 4-3 after the 1st and scored the next 13 runs. Oswald & Vallejo with 2 hits & 3 RBIs each. Christensen & Vallejo homered for East.

Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 16 Cheyenne South 0 - East got a no-hitter from Stephenson in the 3 innings. The T-Birds scored 8 in the 1st, added 5 runs in the 2nd, and 3 in the 3rd. Stehwein had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 20 Green River 12 (conference game) - Trojans scored in every inning but the 1st. Sisco had 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Griffith homered for KW. Blaylock homered for GR.

Final Score: Rock Springs 10 Natrona County 8 (conference game) - Tigers rallied from 3-0 and 6-4 deficits, but it was 2 runs in the 5th that were the difference. Sweeney had 2 hits & 3 RBIs for RS.

TUESDAY, APRIL 25

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 4 Rock Springs 0 (conference game) - Griffith tossed a 4-hit shutout in the circle for KW. She also had 2 hits & 1 RBI at the plate. Clair added 2 hits & drove in 1

Final Score: Green River 19 Natrona County 9 (conference game) - Wolves scored 14 runs in the 4th to rally from an 8-3 deficit. Terry had 3 hits & 4 RBIs for GR, & Blaylock homered (3 hits, 3 RBIs).

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26

Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 14 Cheyenne Central 4 (conference game) - T-Birds scored 14 runs in their last 3 at-bats to wrap it up in 5 innings. Christensen had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, & 2 RBIs. Schlagel drove in 3. Also took advantage of 11 walks.

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 13 #1 Cheyenne East 2 - Indians scored 8 runs in the 1st inning. Birt had 2 hits & 1 RBI. Kammerman drove in 2 runs.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27

Final Score: #5 Laramie 22 Cheyenne South 2 (conference game) - Witte and Pacheco each had a home run for the Plainsmen.

Cheyenne South at #5 Laramie - not completed due to the weather

Final Score: Rock Springs 16 Green River 9 (conference game) - an 8-run 6th propelled the Tigers to the win. Florencio had 4 hits & 4 RBIs for RSHS. The Tigers hit 4 home runs, including 2 by Turnwall.

Final Score: Rock Springs 17 Green River 5 - Tigers got the sweep thanks to 6-run 2nd and 5th innings. Mortensen had 4 hits - 2 HRs & 6 RBIs for RSHS.

FRIDAY, APRIL 28

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 23 Cheyenne South 1 (conference game) - Central scored 14 runs in the 2nd inning to break it wide open. Martinez had 2 hits & 4 RBIs. Thomas & Rohde hit HRs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 24 Cheyenne South 5 - Central jumped out 9-2 and never looked back. Moyte led the Indians' offense with 3 hits & 4 RBIs.

Final Score: #4 Cody 8 Kelly Walsh 7 - 9 innings (conference game) - Fillies win on Violet Wollschlager's RBI double in the 9th. She had 3 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 8 #4 Cody 1 - Trojans scored 6 runs in the 1st two innings to win the non-conference game. Smith had 3 hits & 4 RBIs for KW.

Final Score: Natrona County 16 Worland 11 (conference game) - a 5-run 5th for NC put the Fillies in front for good. Randolph had 4 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs. Meyer also homered for NC.

Final Score: Worland 9 Natrona County 8 - Warriors scored 1 in the 4th to win game 2. Pierce had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for Worland.

SATURDAY, APRIL 29

Final Score: #4 Cody 7 Natrona County 4 (conference game) - Cody rallies from a 4-0 deficit for the win. They took the lead in the 5th. Simone, Brasher, and Evans had 2 hits & 1 RBI each.

Final Score: Natrona County 13 #4 Cody 5 - NC jumped out to an 8-1 lead and pulled away. Malson had 2 hits & 3 RBIs. Hartman added 4 hits & drove in 1.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 19 Worland 1 (conference game) - Trojans scored 10 in the 1st inning. Clair had 5 hits & 2 RBIs. Kiser added 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 9 Worland 5 - The Warriors led 4-3 after the first, but the Trojans rallied for the win and sealed it with 4 runs in the 5th. Smith had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.
