Now that every team has played a game, this week features mostly regional non-conference action on the diamond.

Powell made its season debut, and Cheyenne Central rejoined the boys’ poll for the first time since the preseason rankings.

Outside of the top seed, teams will face a one-game, loser-out match on Thursday. The winners will qualify for the state tournament, and the losers’ season is done.

Campbell County senior Courtney Thayer, Lander senior Adelyn Anderson, and Cheyenne Central senior Tegan Krause were the winners.

Wright sophomore Mili Meza Perdomo and Jackson senior Kyrem Berestain were the winners from April 20-25, 2026.

The top five teams were the same as last week.

Class 3A boys had the most changes with the only new team in the rankings. 4A girls and boys had minor differences, and 3A girls was the same.

Despite some upsets and surprises in last week's results, the standings did not change, except for second place in the 3A East.

Besides a few conference and cross-quad games, the big events are the two softball invites in Cody and Gillette.

Laramie joined the rankings for the first time this season. They've won seven straight games.

The league leaders are Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cody, and Laramie.

Every game on the schedule this week is a conference game. That includes some rescheduled games from earlier in the season.

The Fillies gave top-ranked Campbell County their first loss of the season last Saturday in Gillette.

Lingle-Fort Laramie sophomore Shaylyn Wunder, who plays softball at Torrington, and Buffalo junior Jace Townsend were the winners.

Every team in the state has now played at least two conference games.

This is rivalry week, as teams in Sweetwater County square off, plus Wheatland and Torrington, the Capital City rivalry between East and Central, the Casper schools, and the Gillette schools.

The WyoPreps Coaches and Media Softball Poll was the same for the third consecutive week.

After last week's cross-quad action, not much changed in the latest standings.
