Nominate an athlete for WyoPreps Athlete of the Week

Natalie Clonch of Thunder Basin High School had a big senior season to earn the first WyoPreps Athlete of the Year award for Girls Softball.

The recipients are Avery Gray from Wyoming Havoc 18U softball, Avon Barney of the Sheridan Troopers, and Holden Christensen from the Casper Oilers.

The USA Softball of Wyoming girls’ Junior Olympic (JO) fastpitch state tournament was last weekend in Gillette.

Longtime Cody coach Scott Shaffer was selected as the girls’ assistant Coach of the Year at the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) convention last week in North Dakota.

Campbell County High School’s Avery Gray has been named the Gatorade Wyoming Softball Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.

The Coach of the Year awards have been decided by the Wyoming Coaches Association for the 2024 Spring Sports Season.

Laramie’s Emilee Sirdoreus will continue to play softball in college after signing at Northeast Community College in Nebraska.
