One of the most accomplished prep wrestlers on the girl's circuit in Wyoming is Tai McBride of Jackson. She completed an undefeated season with a pin of Laynee Walker of Kemmerer in the 120-pound State Championship match on Saturday in Casper. 27-0 is an incredible accomplishment and was unbeaten heading into last year's State Tournament but suffered a knee injury just before the tourney.

McBride looked very impressive at this year's Ron Thon Tournament and always seems to have a Plan B when Plan A isn't working well enough. She has won Ron Thon the past 2 years running and worked very hard to rehab from her injury in 2023. McBride is a shining example of hard work paying off.

We talked to her after winning the 120-pound State Title and it's been a long road to get to this point.
