Bailey Barnes of Thunder Basin Signs with Univ. of Mary

Thunder Basin enjoyed a memorable volleyball season as they finished 2nd at the 4A State Tournament with an overall record of 33-5. One of their All-State players was Bailey Barnes and she will continue her athletic career at the University of Mary in North Dakota.

She is a 6-1 middle hitter and recorded a whopping 250 kills for the Bolts in 2023. Her kill percentage was 39.6 and contributed 107 digs to the Thunder Basin cause. Barnes could do it all with 60 blocks and 34 assists in her senior season.

As a junior, Barnes rang up 76 kills, 67 blocks, 47 digs and 15 assists. The University of Mary is a Division II school located in Bismarck and plays in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Marauders were 9-19 this past season.
