The third week of the 2024 American Legion Baseball season in Wyoming has games on three days this week. Four more teams are also slated to make their season debut this week. Gillette and Sheridan will play teams from out of state. Cheyenne will host Laramie and Rock Springs for round-robin action. Wheatland heads south for a twin bill on Sunday. There are a few more games on the slate in Week 3.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20:

Final Score: Billings Cardinals 9 Gillette Rustlers 3 - Cardinals scored 6 runs in the 1st two innings. Smith had 1 hit & 2 RBIs for the Rustlers.

Final Score: Billings (MT) Cardinals 3 Gillette Rustlers 2 - 1 run in both the 4th & 5th innings gave the Cardinals the win. Wood & Schilling had 1 hit & 1 RBI each.

Final Score: Rapid City (SD) Post 22 Expos 8 Sheridan Jets 3 - Jets gave up 6 runs in the 1st. Araas had 2 hits, while Franklin had 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Rapid City (SD) Post 22 Expos 12 Sheridan Jets 2 - Jets had an early 1-0 lead but fell in 5 innings.

Final Score: Powell Pioneers 8 Billings (MT) Blue Jays 2 - six runs in the 3rd & 4th innings carried  Powell to the victory. Queen had 2 doubles & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Powell Pioneers 21 Billings Blue Jays 16 - a 9-run 3rd inning broke it open for the Pioneers. Loera had 3 hits (3B) & 3 RBIs. Queen added 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 3 Billings (MT) Royals 2 - Riders win it on a walk-off error. Petersen had 2 hits.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 2 Billings (MT) Royals 1 - Gillette scored 1 run in the first 2 innings and held off the Royals. Schilling had 1 hit & 1 RBIs. A run on a passed ball turned out to be the difference.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 6 Rapid City (SD) Post 22 Hardhats 5 - an RBI fielders' choice scored the go-ahead run for the Troopers in the top of the 7th. Greer had 2 hits & 2 RBIs. C. Hamrick added 1 hit & drove in 3 runs.

Final Score: Rapid City Post 22 Hardhats 10 Sheridan Troopers 0 - Barney had 2 hits for Sheridan.

Cheyenne Ice-Breaker - Adjusted schedule (Plan B)

Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 11 Rock Springs Stallions 5 - a pair of 4-run innings propelled the Hawks to the victory. Maggard had 3 hits (2B, 3B) & 3 RBIs. Frogge added 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

SUNDAY, APRIL 21:

Final Score: Gillette Riders 6 Billings (MT) Royals 3 - a 3-run 6th inning pushed the Riders to the win. Schilling had 1 hit & 3 RBIs. Hecker added 1 HR.

Final Score: Billings Royals 7 Gillette Riders 4 - Royals got out to a 6-1 lead and held off the Riders. Partlow had 3 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Rapid City Post 22 Expos 12 Sheridan Jets 6 - Expos used 5 in the 3rd & 3 in the 4th to take control.

Final Score: Rapid City Post 22 Hardhats 6 Sheridan Troopers 4 - a 5-run 5th gave RC Post 22 the win. Hutton had 2 hits & 1 RBI.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 24 Rock Springs Stallions 0 - the Sixers scored 18 runs in the 2nd. Wiliams had 3 hits (2-2B, 3B) & 5 RBIs.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers 14 Rock Springs Stallions 10 - a 7-run 5th inning put the Rangers in front. Laramie took advantage of 11 walks. Malone had a triple & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 6 Laramie Rangers 3 - Hawks scored the last 6 runs of the game including 4 in the 6th inning. 3 pitchers combined on a no-hitter. Go-ahead runs scored on an error.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 13 Cheyenne Hawks 0 - Sixers scored 7 runs in the 1st and added 6 more in the 2nd. Crecelius had 1 hits & 3 RBIs. The Sixers took advantage of 8 walks.
