Buffalo senior Briley Farris will continue her running career after signing her National Letter of Intent to compete at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, for cross country and track and field. Farris has competed in cross country and outdoor track at Buffalo High School. She is a three-time all-state performer during the outdoor track season.

Farris is a three-time state champion in outdoor track. She won the Class 3A 800 meters as a freshman in 2021. She has also run on Buffalo’s back-to-back 4x800 meter relay teams that have won the 3A title in 2022 and 2023.

In 2021, Farris was also third in the 1600 meters and fourth in the 3200 meters at the state track meet. She was on Buffalo’s runner-up 4x800 meter relay.

As a sophomore, Farris was seventh in the 800 meters in 2022. Last year, as a junior, she took third in the 800 meters and fourth in the 1600 meters.

During the cross-country season at BHS, Farris’ best finish was 12th as a freshman in 2020. She helped the Bison take second as a team. Farris placed 15th as a sophomore in 2021, 30th as a junior in 2022, and 53rd last fall.

The University of Mary competes at the NCAA Division II level. The Marauders are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
