Evanston senior Cohen Morrow will play football in college after recently signing his National Letter of Intent at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. Morrow was a two-time all-state player for the Red Devils. He was a three-year starter on defense and a two-year starter on offense at quarterback.

Morrow helped Evanston to a 5-6 overall record last fall and the Class 3A semifinals. He was named the co-defensive Player of the Year in the 3A West Conference. As a senior during the 2023 season, Morrow was sixth in Class 3A at 14 defensive points per game. He made 79 tackles, which included 10.5 tackles for loss and one sack. Morrow also had two interceptions, five pass breakups, one blocked kick, and scored one defensive touchdown. On offense, Morrow threw for 1,503 yards, 14 TDs, and 8 interceptions. He completed 53.5 percent of his passes. Morrow also ran for 165 yards and five touchdowns.

For his career, Morrow finished with 379 defensive points. That equates to 228 total tackles (18 tackles for loss), 5.5 sacks, two interceptions and one defensive touchdown. On offense, he had 2,563 all-purpose yards and was responsible for 39 TDs.

The Black Hills State Yellow Jackets are a Division II program that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).
