Torrington got off to a rough start to the 2023 football season with 2 losses to Nebraska schools but the Blazers are on a roll now, knocking off a good Tongue River team on Friday night 21-7.

Torrington's defense did a super job on a Tongue River offense that has been productive this season. Alex Barker had a 2-yard run for a touchdown for the Eagles in the 3rd quarter and that was it.

Torrington got on the board in the first quarter thanks to a 7-yard run to the end zone from Bryce Hager. The Blazers also got a big play from Hager throwing the football as he found Greysen Shield for 48 yards to make it 14-7 in favor of Torrington.

There was just a single TD in the 4th quarter and that was turned in by Kaiden Riggs on a 15-yard run as Torrington downed Tongue River 21-7. The Blazers are 3-3 in the 2A football ranks and will be on the road at winless Glenrock on Friday. Tongue River is 4-1 and they have a home game Friday afternoon against Burns.
