Torrington started the football season to a pair of schools from Nebraska; Gering and Mitchell but turned things around on Friday with a dominating 43-0 win over Burns. One of the main returning players for the Blazers is Bryce Hager and he turned in a solid performance with 4 touchdown runs.

The first one came in the opening quarter as he scampered 17 yards to the end zone to give his team a 7-0 lead. Hager added a 1-yard run for a score in the 2nd quarter, with 2 more rushing touchdowns in the 3rd quarter from 11 yards out and 2 yards out.

The Blazers also tacked on a TD from Greysen Shields and Nounou Brady in the 4th quarter to get 1-2 on the year.  The Blazers will be on the road in Wheatland on Friday. Burns has a young team this year and is 0-3 on the season and will host Newcastle this week.
