Powell Legion Baseball Post Game Remarks

The Powell Pioneers came into the State American Legion 'A' Baseball Tournament as the #1 seed from the west, thanks to knocking off defending champion Cody in the district final. Powell ended up playing Cody 3 times in the state tournament and won twice on Sunday in Sheridan to clinch their first state title in 13 years.

It was a true team effort with the Pioneers getting contributions from guys up and down the roster. That's the kind of mentality that creates champions. We had a chance to talk with Powell players, Brock Johnson, Jhett Schwahn, and Trey Stenerson after their 2nd win over Cody on Sunday, Needless to say, they were happy campers.
