The Rock Springs girls basketball team compiled a 15-13 record but did qualify for the 4A State Tournament as the #4 seed from the West. That put them in a tough spot right off the bat as they met the #1 seed from the East in the first round; that being Gillette. The Tigers dropped that game 54-37 as they were outscored 18-2 in the 3rd quarter. Brenli Jenkins was sharp for Rock Springs with 15 points and Kyla Henry chipped in 11. The Tigers had a much better day in the consolation round as they posted a 45-39 win over Kelly Walsh as Jenkins was the leading scorer with 16. On the 3rd day of the state tournament, the Tigers lost to their rival, Green River 44-36 with Jenkins netting 11 points and Henry also netting 11 points. For the season. Brenli Jenkins was named all-state and she was just a freshman. Jenkins averaged 16 points a game so she is somebody that Rock Springs can build around. The program will have to replace 4 seniors.
