The Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse is the site for a 14th straight year. Thirty teams are competing in two classifications at this year’s state championships. The top eight in each event of each classification will receive medals. The top four boys’ and girls’ teams in each class will receive trophies.

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL INDOOR TRACK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE

Three state records were set at last year’s championships. For the girls, they were in Class 4A. The Cheyenne Central girls set a new standard at 4:14.11 in the Sprint Medley Relay. Cheyenne East’s Taliah Morris set a new state record in the long jump at 19-02. One state record was set in the boys’ division. Colby Jenks from Pinedale (Big Piney) set a new standard in the 800 meters at 1:53.92.

Class 3A records were last year, as it was the first year of that division.

In 2024, nine finalists will advance in the Triple Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put. Eight finalists advance in the 55-meter dash, 55-meter hurdles, and 200 meters. For the 200 meters, the fastest eight times will advance to the finals. Two heats of four will be run with the fastest times in the final heat.
