Upton's Ethan Schiller Inks for Track at Dickinson State

Upton senior Ethan Schiller has signed at Dickson State University for track and field. Schiller is the reigning Class 1A triple jump state champion. He jumped 43-10.25 at the state championships last year for the title and won by over two feet. Schiller also competed in the high jump and on Upton’s 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays.

Schiller is a four-time state qualifier for the Wyoming State Track Championships. In 2022, Ethan was runner-up in the triple jump behind former teammate Luca Brooks by one inch. He also competed at the state track meet in the high jump and on Upton’s 4x400 and Sprint Medley relays. As a freshman in 2021, Schiller competed in the 110-meter hurdles, high jump, and long jump at the state track meet.

In 2024, the Upton senior has already pre-qualified for next month’s state track championships in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, long jump, and triple jump. He has the top marks in 1A in both the long and triple jump and is second in the two sprinting events.

Schiller also played golf and basketball in high school. He was an all-state selection in the 2024 basketball season and helped the Bobcats to the 1A state championship. Schiller was part of three state title teams in four years at UHS. He was also an all-state golfer in 2023 and helped Upton to the Class 2A state championship last fall.

Dickinson State University is in Dickinson, North Dakota. The Blue Hawks compete at the NAIA level of college sports. They are members of the North Star Athletic Association.
