Trey Stenerson of Powell is one of the state's finest all-around athletes, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. He has decided on football to continue his athletic journey, signing on with Chadron State in Nebraska.

This past season on the gridiron, Stenerson earned All-State status in 3A as a receiver by catching 40 balls for 797 yards and 12 touchdowns. His yards per game average ranked 3rd in the 3A and had a whale of a game vs. Douglas with 6 TD catches and 249 yards receiving. On defense, he was in on 14 tackles and also scored a defensive touchdown.

In his junior year, he was an All-State selection with 54 balls for 813 yards and 10 touchdowns. He had 125 yards receiving in three games in 2022 with 24 tackles on defense.

Stenerson also made All-State in basketball as Powell won the 3A State Championship going undefeated in the process. He averaged 7 points and 6 rebounds per game and shot 58% from the floor.

In addition to all that, Stenerson was named First-Team All-State in Legion Baseball for the last 2 seasons, His Powell Pioneer team won the State 'A'  Championship as he played center field and pitched. Stenerson was also a monster at the plate, especially in the State Tournament.

Chadron State is a Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
