One of the 1a semifinals featured Upton-Sundance making the long trip westbound to meet the Cokeville Panthers. This was a physical game with neither team giving up very much. So it was a tense game with Cokeville finding the end zone first on a 40 yard run for a touchdown from Nate Barnes to give the Panthers an 8-0 lead with the successful 2 point try. Cokeville added to their total in the 2nd quarter as Barnes tossed an 8-yard touchdown pass to Matt Thomas, the extra point was missed so The Panthers held at 14-0 advantage.

Upton-Sundance got on the board with a touchdown as Brad Kruger found Jayden Caylor for 17 yards and a touchdown so the Patriots were right back in the game trailing 14-7. The Cokeville defense took over the rest of the way, posting a safety and keeping Upton-Sundance out of the end zone and that’s not an easy thing to do. Cokeville earns a return trip to the 1A 11 man state championship game with a 16-7 win over Upton-Sundance. The Panthers will get a rematch with a powerful Big Horn team on Saturday at 1 pm.  The Patriot's outstanding season comes to an end with a record of 9-2.
