PhotoFest: Worland Soccer Tournament

The Pinnacle Cup Soccer Tournament was held in Worland on Friday and Saturday with decent weather and plenty of action. At times, 4 matches were going on at the same time on the Worland campus. In the boys bracket, defending 3A state champion Worland beat Torrington 4-2 in the title match. The Warriors went 3-0 in the tourney and Torrington went 2-1. Green River took 3rd with a 1-0 win over Buffalo as the Wolves went 2-1 and the Bison went 1-2. Newcastle defeated Powell 4-2 for 5th place with both teams going 2-2 for the weekend. Douglas was 2-1, Lyman was 1-3 and Pinedale was 1-3.

On the girl's side, Worland, who was the 3A runner-up last season took 1st in the Pinnacle Tournament with a 3-0 win over Buffalo. Worland was 3-0 in the tournament and Buffalo was 2-1. Green River downed Powell 4-0 for 3rd so the Wolves were 2-1 and the Panthers 2-2. Douglas placed 5th with an 8-1 win over Lyman so both teams were 2-1 for the weekend. Pinedale was 1-3 and Torrington was 0-3.
