Natrona's Beau Russell Signs with Black Hills St. for Football

Beau Russell of Natrona County was all over the football field in 2023, providing a spark for the Mustangs on offense and defense. On Wednesday, he signed his letter of intent to play at Black Hills State in the defensive backfield.

Russell was a 4A All-State selection as an At-Large defensive performer in 2023 as he rang up 46 tackles with a pair of interceptions. On offense, Russell had 1049 all-purpose yards and 387 on the ground with 6 touchdowns with 167 yards receiving, and 2 TDs. As a junior, he was in on 28 tackles with 2 picks and a touchdown plus 2 scores on offense.

Russell is also an accomplished wrestler as he finished 2nd at 165 pounds in the 4A State Tournament back in February with an overall record of 33-2. He took 2nd at 152 pounds at State in his junior year going 41-8 and went 35-19 in his sophomore season to take 4th at 138 pounds.

Black Hills State is located in Spearfish, South Dakota, and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference at the Division II level.
