Wyoming High School Girls Swimming Scoreboard: Aug 25-26, 2023
The start of the 2023 season for girls’ high school swimming and diving is this weekend.
The defending state champions are Lander in Class 3A and Laramie in Class 4A.
Three venues will be hosting meets over two competition days to begin the 2023 season. Those are Lander, Laramie, and Rawlins.
The schedule is subject to change.
Friday, Aug. 25:
LANDER RELAYS – Kemmerer, Lander, Riverton, Sublette County, Worland
Team Scores = Lander 343, Worland 285, Riverton 235, Kemmerer 193, Sublette County 184.
LARAMIE RELAYS – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Green River, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Newcastle, Sheridan, Thunder Basin
Team Scores = Laramie 358, Kelly Walsh 318, Green River 294, Central 292, Campbell County 206, Thunder Basin 164, East 120, South 110, Sheridan 86, Natrona County 54.
RAWLINS PRE-INVITE – Evanston, Lyman, Rawlins, Rock Springs
Team Scores = Evanston 344, Rawlins 264, Lyman 217, Rock Springs 209.
Saturday, Aug. 26:
BRUCE GRESLY PENTATHLON IN LANDER – Buffalo, Cody, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lander, Powell, Riverton, Sublette County, Worland
Jackson's Maren Tattersall was the overall winner for swimming.
LARAMIE PENTATHLON – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Green River, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Newcastle, Sheridan, Thunder Basin
Green River's Tavia Arnell was the overall winner for swimming. Maggie Turpin of Laramie won the diving portion.
Team Scores = Central 118, Kelly Walsh 105, Thunder Basin 102, Campbell County 84, Laramie 78, Green River 71, East 54, Sheridan 34, South 6.
RAWLINS PENTATHLON – Douglas, Evanston, Jackson, Lyman, Rawlins
Team Scores = Douglas 260, Rawlins 138, Evanston 124, Lyman 52, Jackson 29.
Payton Yost of Douglas won the pentathlon, as Douglas swept the top four positions.
