Kasey Carr of Jackson has high hopes for 2023-24 as she tries to qualify for the National High School Finals Rodeo that will be in Rock Springs later this summer. Karr will rodeo at the collegiate level next year at Kansas State so that's a great opportunity.

So far in the fall and early spring season on the Wyoming prep circuit, Carr is 2nd in the state in goat tying, 5th in barrel racing, 11th in the breakaway, and 11th in the pole bending. Karr is currently running 2nd in the girls' all-around.

Last season as a junior, she placed 5th in the state in goat tying and 10th in the breakaway. Karr was a top 15 finisher at the Intermountain Icebreaker in both the goat tying and the breakaway.

Kansas State competed in the Central Plains Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association and this season, their women's team is currently 5th in the regional standings.
