Wyoming Indian and St. Stephens met on the basketball floor in Lander back on Friday with Wyoming Indian prevailing in both boy's and girl's play. In the boys' game,  Wyoming Indian played a sharp 4th quarter to beat St. Stephens 67-56. The Chiefs have been led this season by Darwin Gambler who has been averaging 12 points and 6 rebounds per game. He threw in 18 against the Eagles with Tyson Soundingside contributing 17. Wyoming Indian had 4 players in double figures in the contest and sport a record of 14-5. The Chiefs are #2 in 2A in both scoring and rebounding.

St. Stephens is 4-7 and they have a scoring machine in Cadyn Lonedog who is the leading scorer in 2A averaging 28 points a game. He tossed in 26 points vs. Wyoming Indian and Stephon Lonedog added 13.

In the girls' game, Wyoming Indian improved to 14-2 with a huge 94-13 win over St. Stephens. Elliana Duran led the Lady Chiefs with 17, Shye Killsontop had 15 with Dionne Ferris and Taya Dixey chipping in 12 each. Wyoming Indian leads 2A in scoring and rebounding with Killsontop averaging 13 points per game and Dixey has been throwing 11 per contest. It's been a rough season for St. Stephens with a record of 1-10. The Eagle's leading scorer so far this season has been Faylene Ridgely who averages 6 points per game.
