The WyoPreps Preseason Football Tour returns for its third year. It allows us to visit with players and coaches from various programs ahead of the 2023 season.

This year’s tour keeps us closer to home, as we roam through the southeast portion of the state.

The second stop was in the Capital City for a look at the Cheyenne Central Indians, a Class 4A program. They're looking to build off a semifinal appearance last season but also lost some key contributors.

WyoPreps had an opportunity to chat with seniors Colton Pringle and Chase Talich. We discussed the progress of fall camp practice, how it is replacing some key players that graduated, what the coaches are zeroing in on, what else they need to work on, and more.

We also visited with sixth-year head coach Mike Apodaca. He spoke about how the first week has gone, what the focus is, particularly with a younger team, some key personnel, preparing for a difficult season-opener, and more.

The Indians were 7-4 in 2023. They lost in the semifinals of the 4A playoffs to eventual state champion Sheridan.
