Golf goes with weekend #2 while Cross Country and Girls Swimming see their first events of the fall sports season.

On the golf course, there are three meets slated.  They are in Worland, Rawlins, and Evanston.

At Rawlins, Central's Jared Edeen carded a 73 on the 2nd day to overtake Saratoga's Braxton Schwartzkopf to win.   Schwartzkopf was two under par on day one, but shot an 80 on day to.   Central would beat East 638 to 660 for the team title.  On the girl's side, Laramie's Jacquie Perdue and Sara Koster of Torrington both shot a 181 to top the field.   Koster would win the playoff to take first.    Douglas won the team title, seven strokes ahead of Laramie.

The Riverton boys won their second meet in as many weeks.  So did Wolverine Freshman Easton Paxton.  His two day 140 set the pace for medalist honors for the boys.  Sydney Gunn of Cody won the girl's title by 13 strokes.  Gillette would win the girls team title.

At Purple Sage in Evanston, Kalle Lunsford shot a 158 on her home course and won the girl's side.  Natrona was the team champion.  Nathan Green of Green River won the boy's side by a stroke.  Jackson was the boy's team champion.

Races began as early as Thursday for Cross Country as Newcastle has the first event at their place.   Other meets are in Cody, Green River and on Casper Mountain at the Bear Trap Meadow.

Casper hosted the Glen Legler Memorial Race on Casper Mountain.  Jonah Henry of Laramie won the boys race while Ashley Sondag of Natrona was the girls first place finisher.  The LHS Boys put four in the top seven spots and five in the top fourteen and won the title.  The girls team crown went to Gillette who placed three runners in the top five.

Cody hosted a XC race on Friday.    Brody Smith ran well on the home course placing first on the boys side.  The Bronc ran the only time under 17 minutes.   Buffalo won the team title.   For the girls, Cody went 1-2-3 and 5, lead by Kimberly Holiday.  Cody put 8 girls in the top 11 spots and won the team title.

At Green River, the Wolves hosted one of the first events of the year.  Mountain View's Hannah Behunin won the girl's race while Josh Hartford of Green River won the boys.  No team scores were kept.

Girls swimming meets are pentathalons at Rawlins and Gillette.
