Sheridan football player Kyle Meinecke will be taking his skills to Dickinson State in the fall of 2021. Meinecke played tight end and defensive back for the Broncs and was named 2nd team all-state in 4A in both positions. He was also named all-state in 4A in the secondary as a junior in 2019.

In 2020, Meinecke caught  18 passes from the tight end spot for 272 yards and 6 touchdowns. He had 2 TD receptions in their game with Cheyenne South and 84 receiving yards in that contest, In defense in 2020, Meinecke registered 24 tackles, 10 solo along with an interception. In 2019, He caught 11 balls for 184 yards and a touchdown along with 26 tackles and 3 picks on defense.

Dickinson State plays at the NAIA level and won the North Star Athletic Conference championship without a loss.
