Rock Springs is steaming towards a #1 seed in the 4A playoffs and flexed their muscles yet again with a 42-18 win over Cheyenne Central on Friday night. Now Central got on the board first with a 10 yard run for a score from Keagan Bartlett and Rock Springs answered with two short touchdown runs from Brock Bider and Dylan Coburn respectively.

The Tigers put 14 more points on the board in the 2nd quarter as Bider threw a 9 yard pass to Cadon Shaklee and Coburn scored for the 2nd time in the contest. The Tiger offense asserted themselves in the 3rd quarter as Coburn reeled off a 26 yard run to the end zone and Isaac Schoenfeld had a 4 yard run for 6. Sandwiched in between that was a 38 yard run by Bartlett of Central but the Tribe trailed 42-12 after 3 quarters of play.

Central added a 4th quarter touchdown but Rock Springs wins this one going away 42-18 to get to 7-1 on the year. The Tigers wrap up the regular season at 7-1 Cheyenne East on Friday. The Tigers can get the #1 seed if they win on Friday and Thunder Basin beats Sheridan. Central is 1-7 on the season and will essentially have a play-in game for the postseason against Laramie on Friday. The winner goes to the playoffs and the loser is out.
