The 4th quarter and free throws made the difference in this see-saw game.

Arvada-Clearmont jumped out to a 15-2 first quarter lead, lost the advantage, got outscored 7-1 in the 3rd quarter by St. Stephens, but dominated the 4th quarter 18-2, to advance to the state championship for the first time, since their state runner-up finish back in 2008.

The Lady Panthers (22-5) found ways to get to the free throw line, knocking down 19 of 32 attempts (59%), while the Lady Eagles (22-3) were only 2 of 9 (22%) from the charity stripe.

McKenna Auzqui and Kristin Klaahsen scored in double figures for A-C with 23 and 14 points respectively.

Laura Brown scored 14 for SS.
