Evanston entered the 4A State Tournament as the #3 seed from the West and this team had an eventful tournament. Their first-round match with Kelly Walsh was epic, to say the least with the Red Devils losing a heartbreaker 25-20, 22-25, 23-25, 25-23, and 15-10. Evanston showed some poise in the consolation round with a 3-0 win over Rock Springs; 25-23, 27-25, and 25-18, and then played another epic match for 5th place against Star Valley. The Red Devils won the first 2 sets and then lost the next 3; 20-25, 26-28, 25-23,25-23, and 15-11. Evanston wrapped up the season at 16-11-1.

This team had 2 all-state selections in Stacia Barker and Emily Freeland. The Red Devils had 2 more players earn all-conference distinction in Baylie Critchfield and Taylor Petersen. Now Peterson was a senior this year but Barker, Freeland, and Critchfield are expected to return in 2021. That's a solid foundation for next year and the team will be loaded with seniors.
