Kelly Walsh was the standard-bearer in 4A volleyball with three state championships from 2017-2019. This year, KW came up just short as they lost to an extremely talented Laramie team in the 4A final. The Trojans did finish the year at 18-7 so they accomplished a lot considering there wasn't a single senior on the team.

At the 4A state tournament, Kelly Walsh started things out against Evanston in what turned out to be an epic match. The Trojans prevailed 25-20, 22-25, 23-25, 25-23, and 15-10. In the semi-finals, Kelly Walsh rallied as they were down 2 sets to none to Cheyenne East before coming out on top; 23-25 16-25, 25-13, 25-18, and 15-9. The championship match was a challenge for the Trojans as Laramie broke KW's championship string at 3 years, 22-25, 25-20, 25-15, and 25-23.

The Trojans had two players earn all-state status, hard-hitting Peyton Carruth as well as Abu Milby. This team absolutely will be a state championship contender with everyone expected to be back. They'll have a different complexion with 7 seniors and 5 juniors.
