Thunder Basin was a solid team in 2020 with 19 wins and a 3rd place finish at the 4A State Tournament in Casper back in November. The Bolts had some senior leadership led by all-state selection Gabby Drube also had some height led by 6-2 all-state pick Joelie Spelts.

in the quarterfinal round of the state tournament, Thunder Basin met Natrona in what turned out to be a tremendous match with the Bolts prevailing 30-32, 25-13, 25-23, and 25-19. The semi-finals turned out to be a tough endeavor as they lost to eventual state champion Laramie 25-21, 17-25 25-17, and 25-22. But Thunder Basin finished the season with a bang defeating Cheyenne East in 3 straight to take 3rd place; 25-14, 25-11, and 25-16.

Spelts has a strong presence at the net and she was just a sophomore this season but the Bolts will say goodbye to four seniors. In 2021, the team is expected to have 4 seniors and 3 juniors.
