2020 Upton Volleyball Wrap

Upton came into the 2020 1A state tournament as the #2 seed from the East and was in one of the more interesting matches of the tournament in the quarterfinal round against Little Snake River. It was a 5 set marathon that the Bobcats ultimately lost after winning the first 2 sets; 14-25, 14-25, 25-23, 25-23, and 15-6. In the consolation round, played another 5 set match, but ended up winning this one over HEM after losing the first two sets; 17-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14, and 16-14. The Bobcats ended the season at 17-9 and finished 6th after a straight-set loss to Southeast.

Upton was guided by two-time all-state selection Hailey Turner as well as a couple of all-conference picks in Alyson & Katlyn Louderback. This year's team had just one senior and that was Katlyn Louderback. Turner was a junior this season so 2021 looks very promising for this program.
