The 4A boys state cross country race in Afton on Saturday was certainly competitive with about a half a minute separating the top 7 runners. Hitting the finish line first was Trevor Stephen from Cheyenne Central in 16.29.9. A year ago, Stephen took 15th place at the state meet with a time is 17.17.9 so he displayed marked improvement. Mason Swingholm of Laramie was 2nd and Mason Henry of Natrona 3rd. Sheridan won the 4A team championship with Austin Akers taking 7th and Alex Garber placing 8th.
