AJ Kelly of Rock Springs Commits to SD Mines for Football

Rock Springs lineman AJ Kelly will be headed to Rapid City to play football for the South Dakota School of Mines. Kelly was named first team all state in 4A on the offensive line and 2nd team all-state on the defensive line. The Tigers ran the football for over 170 yards per game in 2020 and ranked 4th in offense in 4A. Kelly is 6-7 and 305 pounds and had 34 tackles on defense, 24 solo.

Kelly was also a state champion wrestler in 4A in the 2020 season as he took the podium at 285 pounds with a 706 win over Dalton McInerney of Thunder Basin. He finished with a record of 35-4 and placed 4th at the state tournament in 2019 at 285 pounds.
