Wheatland Finds a Way to Defeat Big Horn

Wheatland is the #1 ranked team in our WyoPreps poll in 2A football and they did have a tougher than expected battle with Big Horn on Friday. Both teams struggled in one way or another in this contest but Wheatland pulled out the win 20-13 to get to 2-0 on the year.

The Bulldogs took the lead thanks to a touchdown from Rodee Brow but Big Horn answered with an interception return for a touchdown from Dawson Richards. Wheatland responded on a nice catch for a score from Jake Hicks and got a 2nd half TD from Hyannie Fausto. Also in that 2nd half, Big Horn scored their first offensive touchdown of the year as Richards went untouched into the end zone.

Wheatland remains unbeaten and will host Upton-Sundance. Big Horn will be looking for the first win of the year as they'll host Newcastle on Friday. Take a look at our video from Friday's contest in Wheatland as well as some great images of the contest from Mark Delap. Enjoy!
