Sheridan's Blaine Johnson has elected to attend Chadron State in Nebraska to further his running career. He earned all-state status in cross country as a senior with an 8th place finish at the state meet. His time of 16.41.17 was a personal record and also ran 16.45.5 in the Casper meet in September. In fact, Sheridan took the top 5 spots in that Glen Legler race which is extremely rare in cross country.

Johnson ran 17.45.48 in his junior at the state meet to take 24th place so his improvement has been exponential. Chadron State is a Division II school that has recruited many Wyoming high school athletes.
