Brian Steger of Pine Bluffs Signs with Dickinson St.
Pine Bluffs has been noted for the excellent group of athletes they've had for the past several years. Brian Steger is part of that group and is a two time all state selection in football for the Hornets. He will be taking his skills to Dickinson State in North Dakota to compete on the gridiron as well as track and field.
In 2019, Steger was in on 88 tackles and had 13 in one game versus, Yuma, Colorado. He finished the year with 134 defensive points and 28 unassisted tackles. He also caught a TD pass and returned kick-offs.
Steger recorded 57 tackles in 2018 with an astounding 7 sacks. He also had 517 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Hornets so he was pretty versatile.
In track, Steger competed in a variety of events including the discus and several relays. In addtion to all that, he played on the PIne Bluffs basketball team averaging 5 points and 4 rebounds in the 2019-20 season with 6 points and 3 boards per game the previous season.
