Buffalo Prevails Over Worland in an Entertaining Game
Buffalo and Worland collided on the gridiron with each team looking to get a leg-up in the 3A East race. Buffalo scored the first 12 points of the game on a Jackson Moon TD pass to Blake Bell and then a 3 yard run for a score.
Worland answered with 2 scores in the 2nd quarter as Aaron Carver had a 3 yard Td run and caught 10 yard TD pass so it was 14-12 at the break.
In the 3rd quarter, Ben Camino reeled off 75 yards for a touchdown to give the Bison the lead only to watch the Warriors respond with a TD run from Carver. Buffalo's defense made a huge play as Bell came up with a pick-six to give the Bison the lead at 26-20 after 3
Worland kicked a field goal to cut the gap to 26-23 but Buffalo put the game away with another TD pass from Moon, this time to Gage Horestski who made a circus catch in the end zone. Moon later got into the end zone from the doorstep as Buffalo gets to 5-1 with a 40-23 win over Worland. Buffalo has a big game this week at Douglas while 3-3 Worland will be on the road in Riverton.
We have a video of that game on Friday in Johnson County and some awesome photos from Jessi Dodge of the Buffalo Bulletin. Enjoy!
