Burns Upsets #2 Wheatland on the 2A Gridiron

In a tightly contested game, Burns outlasted Wheatland on Friday night which was just the 2nd win of the year for the Broncs. They also handed Wheatland their first defeat of the year so that was impressive from the Burns point of view.

Wheatland received a 57-yard touchdown catch from Rodee Brow and a 6 yard TD catch from Jake Hicks but that's all the Bulldogs got on offense in this game. Burns receiver Jackson Kirkbride caught a couple of touchdown passes with Riley Mclaughlin scoring a huge 4th quarter touchdown to give the Broncs their margin of victory.

So Burns at 2-4 will be on the road this week at Upton-Sundance while Wheatland at 5-1 will host Tongue River on Friday. Be sure and check out our video of the game on Friday and some great pics from Tony Montoya in our gallery. Enjoy!
