Campbell County Football’s Trending in the Right Direction [VIDEO]
Coming off their best season since 2016, the Campbell County Camels will be one to watch in Class 4A.
The Camels finished 2021 with an overall record of 4-6. That was the most wins since the split into two high schools in Gillette. They’re also coming off a second playoff appearance in the last three seasons. Campbell County looks to build on both achievements.
Despite the loss of nine starters on both sides of the ball, the Camels return some key personnel for 2022. Seniors Ian Carter and Cooper Stevens, junior Aidan Dorr, and sophomore Mason Drube will all have big roles in the new season. Carter, Stevens, and Dorr earned second-team all-conference honors last fall.

WyoPreps had its sixth stop on the Preseason Football Tour at Campbell County’s practice last Thursday. We had a chance to visit with Dorr, Drube, Carter, and Steven, plus head coach Andrew Rose. They talked about how practice is going, playing with some different expectations, taking on different roles, and more.
Coach Rose enters his fourth season at the helm of the program.
Campbell County opens with back-to-back road games starting with Cheyenne East in the Capital City on Aug. 26.
