Week 5 for Wyoming High School boys’ basketball teams has several conference games, three tournaments, and other action on the schedule.

Two basketball stars were selected as the latest WyoPreps Athletes of the Week. They are Big Horn junior Afton Cummins and Thunder Basin junior Gibby Williams.

A new top-ranked team in Class 4A girls is the biggest change in the new WyoPreps Coaches and Media Basketball Polls, revealed on Wednesday.

The Wyoming High School boys' basketball season is through four weeks of competition.

For 4A, 3A, and 2A teams, several will be taking part in tournaments. Class 1A schools focus on league play.

Sifting through the nominations, Kemmerer senior Kaylie Julander and Sheridan senior Nate Miner were chosen.

The first new basketball rankings in the new year were released on Wednesday with the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Basketball Polls.

One team earned its first win of the season, and the first conference game was played last week.

Not many teams will be on the court, but there are a few more boys’ teams in action compared to the ladies.
